The greatest commandment may be to love God with all your soul, mind and strength, but Jesus noted that the second greatest, so close to the first to be of the same sentiment, is to love your neighbor as yourself. Loving your neighbor isn’t just about hauling in their trash bins. Community service fulfills this mandate. Making this town one that you yourself want to live in is honoring the second commandment. Folks at Trinity are already involved everywhere, from our local government to our local music scene. You can be too! If you are in a rut, consider more or different community involvement. Make this place better. Being a Christian doesn’t stop at the church door.
