SUNDAY, MARCH 4 THIRD SUNDAY OF LENT
John 2:13-22 recalls the familiar story of Jesus purging the Temple, and the strong reactions that are provoked. The homily will be called “Spring Cleaning”. Holy Communion will be solemnly served today, as well. And don’t forget this evening, we gather at the LDS church for the annual Choral Festival.
SUNDAY, MARCH 11 FOURTH SUNDAY OF LENT
We enjoy the formative words of Ephesians 2:1-10 today, full of ideas that are foundational to our Christian understanding. The message will be titled “Once Lost, We Now Are Found”.
SUNDAY, MARCH 18 FIFTH SUNDAY OF LENT
Lent is winding down, and the events of the last week of Jesus’ earthly life are nearly upon us. Today we hear John 12:20-26 the interest of many Gentile folks in this new way of living that Jesus is teaching. The sermon will be called “Chain of Command”.
SUNDAY, MARCH 25 PALM/PASSION SUNDAY
The final Sunday of Lent will be spent reliving Jesus’ triumphal entry and the subsequent horror of the week after that. We will hear the gospel account given by Mark, with much singing and special music included too. The Passing of the Cross will be our final act of worship on this somber, sacred Sunday.
Our Purpose is to ENGAGE people in joyful relationships with God and with each other, so we will GROW in Christ-like compassion, and SHARE the blessings of the Holy Spirit.
