5/28/23 Worship

Hello again, Friends and Family of Trinity!

This Memorial Day Sunday is paired with Pentecost, the ‘birthday’ of the Church universal. Two very different commemorations, but we are going to synthesize them beautifully, I am sure. A few things that are particular for tomorrow:

1. Please wear RED for Pentecost, or patriotic colors for Memorial Day, or both.

2. Please be prepared to lift up names of your beloved war dead. Remember, this is not Armed Services Day, or Veteran’s Day…we want to memorialize those who gave their lives in service of their country.

3. The Postlude at each service will be a medley of all the Service songs, by branch, in chronological order from the youngest to the most senior. You are welcome to stay and listen and clap and all of that!

Additionally, we will enjoy wonderful singing and a challenging text from Paul’s 1st letter to the Corinthians, illuminated by the message “Variety Show”. Attached is the digital bulletin only; the sermon will follow when it is completed.

We offer two services, 8:30 in the Chapel and 10:30 in the Sanctuary…which, in case you didn’t know, have almost exactly the same content. Please attend as fits your schedule and know that you didn’t miss out!  I have the honor of leading musically as well as in the usual ways.

Alright, beloved…sleep and pleasant dreams to you all. The Spirit will be stirring us all tomorrow!
