United Women in Faith News

The women’s biggest fundraiser was an ultimate success, earning much of their contributions to local charitable groups as well as a good amount to the Church. Held on Dec.1-2 the booths included, jams, jellies, nuts and fruit breads offered by the Country Store; a variety of Candy; select-your-own Cookies; fabric Crafts; ever popular embroidered Tea Towels; and white elephants (Next to New) and costume jewelry delighted shoppers. A hearty soup and slaw lunch satisfied hungry shoppers as did homemade pies included in the lunch menu or a la carte. In January the cycle of fundraising will again begin with a Rummage Sale in March and planning for another Bazaar. During the new year there will be speakers and other activities open to all women interested in fellowship and involvement in the organization. Meetings are on the third Wednesdays of each month at 10:00, except a summer hiatus July-August. Come and join the fun and fellowship!
